Matt Peover FHEA
Acting Coach
I have a unique teaching and directing process developed over 24 years of exploration and play and enquiry into the nature of acting.

Beginning with the grounding of the body and the interplay and balance between inner and outer and the body in space, I work with encountering text in a unique way to start with the animal impressios and senses rather than leading with head-based comprehension. At the core of my work is a refined understanding of Stanislavski and Micheal Chekhov, which I develop towards the use of a version of Chekhov's physchological gesture to create exquisitely detailed and alive characters which utilise and stretch the actors' imaginations and bodies.

Classes and workshops
I offer masterclasses in comedy, devising practise, Shakespeare and Michael Chekhov, or direction of workshop productions and scene studies.

Showcases
When directing final year productions I bring a clear and bold approach and aesthetic whilst also continuing to support and challenge the students in their transition from student to professional.
